“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:3-6
Hello again, friends and family! I’m back for a grand re-opening of this space to share bits and pieces of my journey through breast cancer with you. I thank God that you are on my team; many of you have been praying for me since long before my diagnosis, and I hope you know how powerful and effective your prayers really are.
It may be a stop-and-start blog journey (nothing new there), as my arms are still sore from surgery and typing is a bit uncomfortable. Also, I’m not sure what radiation and reconstruction hold for me this year. But here’s what I do know: breast cancer is a gift from God, and sore arms notwithstanding, I can’t hoard it. He has blessed me so much with sharpened perspective, deepened love, and renewed hope. So, I want to show up here for you in all my imperfection because I love you and I love the God who, in spite of all my resistance, continues to compel me to write. May this be a space in which you are encouraged and He is glorified. See you back here soon!
